Hosted by the American Advertising Federation District Four, the Hall of Fame will honor a select few individuals who have distinguished themselves during advertising careers of more than 20 years working in Florida or the Caribbean. Honorees will be inducted at a ceremonial dinner event in Orlando on April 19, 2024.
Eligible candidates are those individuals, who have distinguished themselves intheir careers, who have contributed to the betterment of advertising and its reputation, and who have made volunteer efforts outside the workplace.
The nominee's record of advertising and service must have been accomplished in the advertising industry in the United States or with an American company abroad, with connection to the Florida or Caribbean area of AAF District 4.
To submit a nomination provide a letter stating why your nominee should be honored. If they make the short list you will be contacted for supporting materials. The Selection Committee will consider nominations of individuals either living or deceased.
Include a description of the significant contributions the nominee has made to the advertising industry and the nominee’s contribution to the betterment of society outside his/her business career. In what ways was this contribution innovative? How has it impacted the advertising industry over time?
The nominee and nominator should be aware that congratulatory ads and sponsorship opportunities will be made available for each inductee. Nominators will be asked to help determine a list of contacts who may wish to congratulate successful honorees or attend the celebration event. Net proceeds from sponsorships, advertising sales and event tickets will be added to the general revenue fund, and benefit AAF District 4 scholarships, and education initiatives.
Living honorees must be present for the induction. The nominator must be present if the honoree is deceased. (Two free tickets to the event will be provided.)
Candidates not elected will be considered automatically for selection for two additional years. However, additional nominations or supporting data on behalf of these nominees may be submitted in any year.
Inductees will be announced in advance of the event to encourage attendance colleagues, and opportunity for congratulatory support.
A book featuring profiles of the recipients will be published.
A video featuring career highlights and peer congratulatory messages will be produced for the gala and distributed online after the event.
Inductees will be presented a plaque memorializing the honor.
A Hall of Fame page on the AAF District 4 website features each class of inductees and an archive of past recipients.
A Wikipedia listing is being created with details of the award listing all inductees and their bios.
The honor will be publicized though a dedicated PR effort and published to the AAF District 4 social media channels.
